Meatmasters Group, originally known as Vryheid Meatmasters, was established in 1995. Since then we have grown into a vertically integrated meat business — pig, cattle and sheep slaughter, deboning and primal cutting, a traditional German smokehouse, butchery supplies and retail butcheries — that owns every step from the farm to the plate.

We are a national supplier. Our abattoir wholesale division sells graded pork, beef and lamb carcasses to butcheries, wholesalers and meat processors, our primal plant supplies boxed primal cuts and trim to customer specification, and our smokehouse produces bacon, hams, sausages and cold meats. Full loads are delivered anywhere in South Africa on 7-day terms, with regular regional distribution across KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga and Gauteng. Our retail outlets — Natalia Meatmarket and four Roots Butchery stores in Vryheid, eMondlo and Paulpietersburg — bring the same quality directly to the public.
