Pork & Beef Raw Material for Meat Processors

A processor needs three things from a raw-material supplier: the lean-to-fat ratio is what the label says, the volume arrives when the plan says, and the paperwork stands up to an audit. Meatmasters supplies processors from its own FSSC 22000 certified abattoir and primal plant, so specification, volume and traceability are controlled in one place.

What we supply to processors

Deboned pork primals in DDD spec (belly, loin, neck, shoulder, square-cut shoulder, leg); pork muscle trim and graded trim at 90/10, 80/20 and 60/40 lean-to-fat; spek and flare fat; sow and boar manufacturing carcasses; rinds, meaty bone and by-products; beef primals and beef trim at 90/10 and 80/20; and pork and beef fifth-quarter offal. Any primal can be supplied to your trim level, weight range, packing format and labelling, chilled or frozen.

How supply works

We agree the spec sheet and a weekly or fortnightly volume, run a paid trial load against that spec, and then set the supply terms. Full loads of about 13 tonnes are delivered anywhere in South Africa on 7-day terms, with regular regional runs across KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga and Gauteng. Forward pricing on contracted volume is discussed case by case.

What you can check before you buy

Our abattoir and primal plant are certified to FSSC 22000 for the slaughter and deboning of pork, beef and sheep and the packing of chilled and frozen primal cuts, offal and smoked bacon. Carcass classification is done independently by IMQAS with SAMIC. The abattoir is Pork 360 certified and holds Pick n Pay sow- and crate-friendly certification. Every carcass is weighed under its own serial number and that number follows the product through deboning and dispatch, so any box on your floor traces back to the farm it came from.

Frequently asked questions

Can you hold a fixed lean-to-fat ratio?

Yes. Trim is graded and packed to the ratio you specify — 90/10, 80/20 or 60/40 — and the spec is agreed in writing before the trial load.

What documentation comes with a load?

Delivery note and invoice by lot, with carcass serial numbers traceable to the farm of origin; certificates on request. Our FSSC 22000 scope covers slaughter, deboning and packing of chilled and frozen primal cuts and offal.

Do you supply frozen?

Yes. Primals and trim are supplied chilled or frozen, boxed, to your labelling.

Can you supply contracted volumes?

Yes. After the trial load we agree a weekly or fortnightly volume and delivery schedule.
